North Texas guy

Hi, my name is Taylor Melton, and I have been a member since 2008 but have never really posted. I have owned a 93 touring rx7 for 10 years. The car has sat in a barn ever since I ran the motor lean by modifying the exhaust and the subsequent boost spikes. It still runs but smokes bad, and at 100,000 miles I know it is time to rebuild the engine. I look forward to including you guys in the resurection and getting advice about this unique beast. I am currently a computer science student and mechanic. I mostly work on Japanese motorcycles, but have done many engine rebuilds on modern and turbo cars such as the subaru wrx. My goal is to get a daily driver with a functioning a/c and a tune to handle the downpipe and high flow cat.

Thanks guys, I have all ready learned a ton. My plan now is to keep the stock cat, use dual oil coolers, and maybe use an alcohol injection system to keep combustion chamber temps down under boost. For the rebuild I am using 2mm apex seals, new rotor housings, and all new seals/gaskets/engine bearings from pineappleracing.com After that, just get a few details touched up here and there and then I should have a clean, reliable car. What do you guys think? Sugestions? I plan on waiting until the weather cools down to get started.
