Newbie from the Philippines...Mazda Rx-7 FD owner

Im from the Philippines

I always build Mazda piston type engines for drag racing using Megasquirt ECU systems

I have used a Mazda B6 DOHC, Mazda Z5 1500cc DOHC and installed a Turbo in it. I also used a Mazda 323 GTR BPD engine...and a Mazda FE3 2.0L engine and also installed a turbo system in it

And this is my first Rotary Mazda engine powered car...a Mazda Rx-7 FD

I felt that having a rotary engine and using it for drag racing will be an ultimate end goal in playing with Mazda engines.

Plus....this is my first sports car....and I really like the Rx-7 FD styling....I even saw a picture of it in facebook Mazda appreciation society....and its says..."TIMELESS"....I very well agree with it

Hmmm...one year later and you finally introduce yourself. You have definitely been busy in the tech sections, I see.

Well thanks for getting around to this and I hope your finding the answers you need to finish your RX-7!

Oh....maybe the reason being that last year when I first became a member....I dont have an Rx-7 yet...but only have the 13B S4 FC engine. Im a Mazda engine enthusiast ...and I want to finally stage into the Rotary engine.

And its only this year that I have finally had the budget to buy finally my most wanted Mazda car...the Mazda Rx-7 FD...and here it is....its now one of my favorite cars. And my Rx-7 will definitely be for keeps.

I hope it will not be taken against me to not introduce my self when I first registered....since that time..I really dont have a Mazda Rx-7 yet....my money is insufficient that time.

But now I think....here at the Philippines....I will be the only one to use my Rx-7 in drag racing...havent seen a Mazda Rx-7 doing drag races here in my country......I only see them in drifting scenes here...with a non rotary engine anymore......my experiences with the other Mazda engines helped me a lot in running my non running Rx-7 when I bought it.

My Rx-7 was left in the yard of a Japanese car importer here for 4 years....since the plate was first registered year 2008...and I just bought my Rx-7 like 2 months ago.

I resolved my Rx-7 problems when I bought it by...

-Changing the two CAS sensors
-The negative wire for the input sensors...I think black with red wire (if i remember it right) was disconnected from the ECU socket...leaving I think 7 error codes from the OBD1 scan i did)
-Sandblasted the fuel tank ..since its all rusted inside due to a bad fuel...stocked for 4 years.
-Changed the floater assembly with fuel pump to a good JDM surplus unit
-Pulled the 4 sparkplugs and cleaned it
-Changed the tailights to a JDM surplus since one of the tail light has a crack
-Resurfaced all the 4 discs
-Overhauled the rear brake calipers
-Changed the aircon evaporator and condenser
-Fixed the headlight covers with epoxy as they are cracked from the brackets
-Polished the car after wet sanding it with 1200 grit

........I think these so far are the things to make it running good as an everyday car
