Hi all. I have been on the lookout for a 1st gen for quite some time. I recently found one (somewhat) locally that is an all original 79 w/ 155k miles. The car looks to be in really nice shape and I talked to the owner last night for about an hour and he seems like a sincere guy and I belive he is shooting me straight. The car is about 230 miles away at his in-laws farm and he wants me to be 99% commited to buy it before he brings it back here which I can understand to a point.

My buddy had one in high school and I have loved the cars since. Only issues with the car is oil leaks which I have read to be fairly common. I am not real technically inclined but willing to learn and being in Bismarck I may have a hard time finding help to work on one of these. We talked price because I didn't want to waste either of our time. $1750 turned out to be the magic number. Buyer on ebay has backed out but I believe you can still view the listing. I would appreciate any input before pulling the trigger.
