That's a pretty car. The 6 looks nice in there. Figure if the rotary ever goes in mine, it'll get an LS1 swap.

I want to paint mine Red.

Don't sell it! You'll never get what you need out of it!

the vq30de-k is one of the best motors ever built imo. 222hp stock and decent gas mileage. not to mention the longblock only weighs 182lbs! plus its different.

and yeah a lot of money went into this car, but it needs to go

VA Long time admirer

I've always liked the second gens with engine swaps... owning a 1st gen now I'm leaning towards a junkyard 350 with a high rise intake and a pair of big holley double pumpers sticking through the hood.

Call me a redneck.

I would drive it daily and drag race it weekly...

Btw, what kind of fuel economy are you getting out of that 6?

That's a keeper for sure!

For a second, i thought you put a 3800 series II in until i saw the nissan logo on the side of it. Granted nissan did put 3800's in some of it's cars, using a metal where gm cheaped out and used plastic. VG30, Noice!

gets like 23mpg running it as hard as i can and like 28 on the highway.

seems like it shoudl get better but its a def. a result of the 4.2 gears. i can cruise at 45mph in 6th gear no problem

and i did not do the swap, it was an engineer in VA. honestly if it was still a rotary i probably woudl not have bought it... i know nothing about them.

my plan was to turbo it but i just dont have time or money to do it. This thing would haul *** though. there is plenty of room in the engine bay and the vq motors are known for taking FI well.

its pretty fast as it sits. stock the vq30dek makes 222hp and with the exhaust, intake and ecu programed, im guessing it makes around 200whp.

it weighed in at 2700lbs with a full tank of gas, sound system and all the power options still in the car (minus the ac and ps). 6speed close ratio tranny and 4.2 gears, im guessing it would do a low 14s mid 90mph in the quarter
