NewB with FB in Houston..
Hey Guys,
I just picked up a 1985 GSL, automatic, A/C, etc. here in Houston Texas. The body is very clean, interior is great (except for the seats). Sunroof with both the glass and metal panels. Anyway my initial plan was to race it in the 24Hours of Lemons, but I am having second thoughts. First off,the body is in great shape and second off I think two of the three APex seals are blown (only hear one whoosh per revolution of the crank). The motor turns easily by hand and everything else seems to be in working order. I priced the seals and they are just too expensive for a lemons car, so I was wondering if anyone ever put "gently" used seals from other motors in their motor - just to get by... Also I saw another post that referenced a 12/2 meeting at freebirds here in Houston, anyone have details on that?
Anyway whatever I do with this car, I am looking forward to playing with the rotary engine, what a very cool design..
Thanks Monty
