New from WV!

Hi! My name is Jon Bonazza. I am from Fairmont, WV. I am completely new to the RX7 and rotary engines in general. I am not, however, new to cars. I have been a loyal DSM (1g/2g Mitsubishi Eclipse/Eagle Talon/Plymouth Laser) fan for a few years now. I know my way around the 4G63 (2.0) and 4G37 (1.8) pretty dang well if you ask me! At any rate, I am getting another car to be used as a project here in December when I get some spare cash, and I decided, rather than sticking to the same ol' platform, or even the same ol' design (traditional lifting cylinder engines are cool and all but get boring after a while!) I decided to challenge my intellect again and start the learning process over! I other than the basics, I know basically nothing about the rotary engine, especially the Mazda's variants. I am definitely willing to learn tho! Please note that I DO NOT have an RX7 yet, but I am looking for one as we speak. Like I said, I won't have the money 'till around mid-December, but even after I have the money, I want to wait 'till I find the "right one", so bare with me! In the mean time, I am gonna be searching the forums and researching and reading until my eyes bleed!

I hope I can ean my stay after a while!

-Jon

Welcome

Spend some time reading the FAQ threads for the specific model you are looking for to learn about the car and what to look for.

Take your time and find the right one. Good luck.

Thanks!

I am actually looking for an FC. I would LOVE to get an FD, but, unfortunately, I can't afford a $13,000 - $20,000 car right now... I WILL have one in the future tho!

At any rate, I have already read the FAQ and all of the contained threads, but you can bet that I will be reading them over and over until they are embedded in my brain! haha

The hardest part is getting used to all of the acronyms as a lot of them mean other things in the DSM world, but I'll get there.
