Hello hello I am the proud new owner a 1987 RX7 GXL I bought it for 1K when my life took a dive and I had to turn my Toyota back into the bank. I really enjoy the car it makes me feel 18 again....my son calls it our little Speed Racer! Any way it is not with out its quirks. For the most part every thing works, the engnie is a factory reman with 20K on it trans is also a factory reman with about 18K.I am the second owner of the car and the previous owners son took off the factory exhaust & installed dual resonating pipes. The car surges 1500-1200 when it is warming up and I have read the it is normal....that it could be the TPS is out of adjustment, a vac leak or the EGR valve. The internet is great if you want 4 different answers. Also it runs really rich the exhaust fumes alone could kill me if I didn't back it out of the garage in the morning to start it up and let it warm up. Any ideas on how to fix this??? Nice to know there is a knowledge base for these rotary motors. I will post pics later along with more questions....I am at the library...and my time is up
