Hi all, my name's Jeff and I live in Los Angeles, California. I used to have a 91 S5 TII which I loved, but had to sell for financial reasons. I'm originally from New York and love baseball, so Let's Go Mets!!!

 

Just wanted to update my intro - a very happy and excited owner of an 84 GSL. Picked it up from jtalar, needs some tuning and some cleaning up of wiring work but excited for this project. i don't have any good pictures yet, only the picture in my profile after we loaded onto the trailer.

Been reading up a lot and doing a lot of searches for the fb but i'll definitely have more questions and will need help from the experts. first things first, i'm looking to get a new battery (optima red or odyssey??? not looking to relocate it), fresh battery cables (jimrothe), upgrade to an S5 alternator, get rid of the fusible links (ordered an s4 fusebox already), adjust the timing, and then get the stock nikki carb tuned by a shop. Likely going to Lucky 7 Racing not too far away (read good reviews).

A lot of great threads and DIY's out there, but unfortunately so many of the pictures have broken links since they're such old threads. I plan on taking pics as i go along and try to help build up the DIY section with more pics.
