Whats up y'all?
My name is Phiro.
I'm new to the forum seen. I just want to start by introducing myself here.I'm from Las Vegas & I just got myself a 95 rx7. Its Montego blue 5 speed 96, xxx original miles. I can't begin to tell you guys how long its been since I wanted this car. Its 1 of my dream cars. I'm some what of a sports car collector. I've wanted this car for the longest time. Its been a long time coming.
I just got it about 2 weeks ago from Cali. I always check craigslist everyday hoping 1 day there would be an affordable fd rx7 for sale & I finally found 1. I got off of work & drove all the way to cali just to buy it. I know a got a hella of a deal. I bought the car for $8, 400 cash. Drove it home that day. Since then I've register it & been doing some work to it.
Like older cars, its not a 10 out of 10 car but its in pretty good condition. Paint is still good body is straight just some minor cosmetic issues. It was miss fuel door cover driver headlight cover is damage. & some coolant leaks. I recent bought & replace new fuel door, headlight cover, air sub tank, thermostat, new spark plugs, & wire, radiator drain plug & fix some vacuum leaks.
Man I got to tell you guys its hella hard to find parts for this car at your local auto repair store. Almost everything I had to purchase from dealership. If anyone know a good rx7 website where I can find oem new or use parts let me know I would very much appreciate it,seeing that I new to the rotary engine seen.
Whats crazy is just before I got this rx7 I recently bought myself a 04 rx8. Just like a month before buying the rx7. You guys wouldn't Believe the deal I got on the rx8. Even I still cant believe it. I bought rx8 for $3,200. Yes!,a 04 rx8 84, xxx original miles 6 speed. I bought it from a guy here in Vegas!! The guy thought the rx8 engine was blown but it turns out the engine was just flooded lol! The car is red in & out is beautiful. Drives strong too. I'm sorry guys if it seem like I'm just ranting it just that I'm so happy about finally having the car of my dreams. I look forward to meeting & befriending some of you guys here in this forum. Ill try to post some pix for my fd rx7.
