My name is Mike, and I live near Atlanta. I have just purchased my first Rx7. It is an 86 GXL. It is non turbo (not sure if that is evident from the GXL name), 5spd. Car has 160k on odometer, and is in poor shape. I bought it from a friend at work because I needed additional transportation. The car runs and shifts well. The power steering pump was removed by previous owner (due to leak) before being parked 3 years ago. I installed a new battery when I purchased it, and it started right up. I have put about 500 miles on it since then (5 days ago). The a/c does not work (that'll be fun soon), the radio lights up but no music, and a few things seem to be missing/disconnected under the hood. Beyond that there has been a big smile on my face for the last few days, it gets about 25 mpg, and seems reliable. I will be posting some technical questions soon, as I know absolutely nothing about these cars except that they are good looking.
