New RX7 Drifter
Hey guys, my name is Rob and i'm from indy, about 3 months ago i picked up my first rx7, its an 86 sport model. I've been drifting for about 4 years or so in a 240sx, but after blowing the engine i decided on a new platform and got the FC.
So far i've imported a S5 turbo and installed it, and put in an apexi exhaust. The engine swap took about a month, partly because i had to wait for some parts, and partly because i didn't know what i was doing, but its running fine now(mostly, there's a vacuum leak i think).
My plans for the car in the order i plan on doing them are:
FMIC (just need one of those throttle inlet elbow thingys and some transition couplers)
BOV (flange is already on FMIC piping)
install my sparco steering wheel from the 240, my bucket seat, and harness
Megan Racing track edition coils (had them on my 240 and loved them, FC spring rates are the same 12k/10k)
either angle spacers or cut spindles, something to increase the awful steering angle
wheels/tires
roll cage
and probably a body kit and paint job thrown in there somewhere.
You will see me around asking for help and advice quite a bit i'm sure, but with this engine swap under my belt i may even be able to give some.
