TX New to RX7

I'm new to the RX7 world. I just purched a 1986 RX7 GXL that had been setting for about five years. Took it to a local shop to help get it running and now at the paint and body shop. I saw a real nice RX7 at the airforce base and I was hooked... I hope to learn a lot about the car and have it for a long time. I'm starting to notice that there are not a lot of places that sell parts for the car.

I would like to put 18 inch wheels on my 86 GXL, but not sure what the back spacing means. I like the look of wide rims with lips, but I dont want them to rub and I would like them to tuck not stick out. Any help with rim and tire sizes would be wonderful....

Sweet, I like red. Mine is a gray but I can live with it since its my first car/first rx7. What are some of your plans for the car? Also for the wheel issue you was having if you look under the link I'll give you, you should find some info on what back spacing is, and how you should calculate your deminsions for your wheels.

I completely agree with maac 0953. cars these days don't really turn heads, well unless your driving something with a price tag above my income bracket. but its nice to see the good ole days still trompin up the asphault. well untill barack institutes some new emissions laws and taxes. then they will truly be lawn ornaments and garage catch-alls
