Hey all, my name is Matt, and I just started driving an 84 GSL-SE. My brother and I have been working on it since October trying to get it street-worthy. I'm looking forward to getting to know the car and some other folks who drive them.

I had an 85 GSL, loved that car unfortunately had to sell it during college. Hopefully you love yours just as much now that you are getting it street worthy. good luck

Thanks for the welcomes. I'm loving the car more every time I drive it. The only real issue with the car is that 1st and 2nd are pretty beat up, and I'm not sure if I should just replace the whole transmission or get it rebuilt.

Rebuild is good but you may want to replace all gear sets as well as main and countershaft bearings if there are a lot of miles on that transmission. Good luck with the project.
