Hey guys, alllll the way from Edmonton Alberta Canada. Like the title says I'm new to rotary not cars.I've been a heavy duty mechanic for 18 years, a field mech for 9, my whole life I've bled blue, ford blue. I'm 36, Ive had some crazy cars over the years, 13 mustangs, a comet (fav, and first burn out lol) , a maverick, a lifted 80 f250, a sporttrac adrenalin,07 f150, 08 srt8 ( another fav, built beast, blew it up, patched together and traded in on my last fkn new pos I'll ever buy) a 2012 f150 on 26's, damn that was long. And now my 91 rhd convertible, I figure out how to post a pic after. I read about it but don't understand it yet. K any how, blah blah I fix stuff and I've had cars, I've been looking into the rotary for about 8 month, daily, kinda got hooked. At the end of the day I'm still a mustang guy, I was talking to one of the guys at one of our companies shops about getting another fox body and shoving a 13b in it to **** the world off. He says a fella we work with has one he imported when he was a kid, I laughed an laughed because I just couldn't see it, I'm 10 years older than him, I've seen him grow up at our company and completely forgot he had this thing. I'm on night shift BTW, I called him at 1:30 am Tuesday, " WTF?? You still have the 7??" , "yep" he replied, blah blah he tried to sell it years ago and nobody wanted it so it sat. He said 2000$, I told him I'd pay 3000$ sight unseen. Went out the next day and gave him some money. I didn't even try and start it lol I wanted that thing, as it goes its JDM as **** as I keep seeing. Needs some love. Spoke with a local guru and he said he'd check it over and spend a day on it and see what's what's. Its all old school but its all there, sexy something blah blah body kit,gauges,adjustable coil overseas,245/45/17s,rhd, leather speaker headrests and a/c for some reason lol only down fall is its an auto, but he says you can lock it so it won't shift past second. Ha! Well I found a 5 speed already lol. Sooooo yeah, I said hello, I've got a 1991 rhd convertible automatic with a turbo, ya can't win'm all I guess.
And no, I won't be doing another mustang, this is staying around for sure
