new to the rotary game
hi everyone my name is Jason... i recently picked up a 1st gen rx7. its an 84 and to be quite honest with you, i dont know anything about rotaries or carburetors... so im gonna be in for alot of learning. i got the car for 75 bucks... only because it does not run. it will try to turn over and sometimes it will run for like 3 seconds and then it cutts back off. but, the guy told me that it needs a new slave cylinder, a pcv valve (the oil is milky and when i take the dipstick out it just starts to pour out of the hole, he siad it just needs a new pcv valve and that will fix that problem, but idk if hes right or not), and all of the vacuum lines are mixed up or not even on. its got the 12a motor. and it is a five speed. any help??

milky oil can be bad. It could be a problem. Rotaries don't have head gaskets, so you know that you don't have a blown head gasket. Considering the motor probably needs to be rebuilt anyway I would just get a new one. You only spent $75 on the car, so you might as well spend some money and get a new powertrain.
