New to the rotary family from JP
Hello everyone! New guy here, names Tommy. I am currently stationed in Okinawa, JP, been here for a year and a half and just ditched a drift spec R32 Skyline for a FD3S and I absolutely love it! I slid the R32 till I was bored with it. I had an Apexi Top mount turbo kit and a Power FC with all the other supporting mods...blah blah.
She was quick, but I needed a change....you know, something different. Something that would be a total game changer, something that was unconventional. Sooo, I set out to find myself a good running unmolested FD and this is what I found:
She is clean, like very clean for her age. 93000 KM on the clock and she runs perfect which is hard to find around here due to the lack of rotary shops in the area. And UNMOLESTED totally stock except for a Koyo radiator (which I just installed) and a 5ZIGEN catback exhaust.
Plans for the car is to keep it reliable and track her like no ones business.
HKS Hypermax Coilovers are going to be my next investment, followed by a diff brace and a transmission mount. Then after the suspension is all taken care of a Power FC is going in followed by a downpipe and midpipe to finish off the exhaust.
So, welcome me to the forum. I wish to learn a lot about this rotary beast as I transition over from pistons to rotaries. I have already been doing extensive research on the Wankel and have a very good feel on the internals and how it operates. Now I just need to apply it.
