Hi, all been thinking of getting an RX-7 project so I went and bought one. 1983 Mazda RX-7 Limited Edition. Bought it from a mechanic who says "Low Compression" for 400 clear. Not bad at all.

Well I got her running with a lil TLC tonight, smokes to high heaven but she runs now. I was thinking of either totally restore since she is one of 5000 *according to wiki* or autocross or SCCA Spec RX-7 depending on how I feel but for now, the high hurdle is passed........and compression check is fine, seals just needed a good lubing and the carb was sprayed out with carb cleaner. And I now have no mosquitos thanks to the smoke so 2 pts RX-7

 

I will get pictures tomorrow when I do fluid drains so everyone can see a 400 dollar beauty.

 

nice i picked up my 88 vert for 500 engine and all only thing it needs is spark plugs and a set of headlights.

 

my '82 was given to me, $500 bucks in parts later it runs...but idle is sky high, no tach...bad fuseable links...and I still haven't done a thing about the dented fender...

Im not from Texas but I am new to Rotary. Got my 86 for 800 he runs great

 

nice where abouts is everthing. im considered in "west texas" but if you ask me im in the center of it. lol

 

Another former texan here and rotary noob. moved to NC not long ago. Used to live in a small town called cedar hill.
