New to rotaries in Chicago!
Hey everyone,
So I just bought my first 1986 RX-7 GXL. It only has 34K original miles. I just picked it up today and can't wait to drive it!!! I have to wait until next week though. I bought a bunch of items to do 60K tune up from Rotary Performance and it won't be here until Monday. Ohh well.
I live in Chicago, IL and have always owned some sort of sports car. My last baby was a 1991 300ZX TT, she was VERY fast. Before that I had a 1990 corvette, 89 Camaro RS (the v8), and a 88 Mustang GT (souped up beyond belief). I started out with domestics and started heading towards imports. I have always like the RX-7 and final had my chance to pick one up. It isn't a turbo, but I think I will enventually swap the engine. This is a maybe and if I did wouldn't be for a few years.
Not sure what else to say except for the fact that this forum helped me research everything I needed to know before buying the car. I can't wait to use it to my advantage now that I own her!
Thanks for reading
Jesse

Thanks for sharing and welcome to RX-7 Club! It's certainly heart warming to see someone use the knowledge base from this board to their advantage and especially to see another RX-7 find a good owner to call home!

You have had some nice cars! I was a former 1st gen 300zx owner . I am more happy with the RX7 that I now have.
