New project
Greetings RX7 guys and gals.
I’m a newbie to this forum but not to RX7’s. My name is Chas and I’m in Beaufort, SC. I’ve just purchased my third RX which is a total project car. I had a new 87 GXL and traded for a new 90 TII back in the day. They were both leases but I loved them. Now being retired my wife suggested I pick up a project car to keep me out of trouble. She didn’t have to ask twice. Back in the 60’s I built and raced SCCA H production cars so I still have the tools and skills to play with them. I chose a rough 88 convertible that was in pretty good running shape. I managed to drive it down here from north Georgia with only one overheating issue. The prior owner had just put water, not coolant in it and the electric fan didn’t actually work as advertised. I’m going through the perils of locating parts. That’s the biggest challenge but it’s fun to be back working on one of these babies. Thanks for all the great info on the board. How did we find out anything before them?
