New owner in Northern Japan

Hello, I'm Chris. Military stationed in Japan. Just purchased my first rotary and love it. I own a 93 FD3S and have a plan but would like other opinions!

I stole the car for a mere $1500, that's right $1500. She has a R- Magic wide body kit and 17" advan tri spokes which I'm not a fan of, HKS intake and aftermarket coilovers. Previous owners beat her up and I have already rebuilt the engine and replaced the housings and rotors (they were pretty scorn and beat up) and have an ORC 400 series lightweight clutch that's going in.

1500! I hate you! I know they're a lot cheaper outside of the USA but 1500 is like a rust bucked 92 Honda Civic!

Good work man, congrats. What do you plan to do to it?

Welcome to the forum, Chris. Your ride looks beautiful! A lot of good info here regarding mods in case you are thinking of doing any. Check out some of the garages and you may get some ideas. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions at all, we are always happy to help!

I want to go big single turbo. Still trying to decide what brand and which turbo. I like the garret T04Z dual ball bearing. I have also been suggested the GT35R. I would like to have the ability to reach 5-600HP RWHP down the road but sit comfortably around 4oo with quick spool.

Anyone have any input on garret vs. Borg?

Can you tell me what the suggested rim width is for an FD? I've been reading some forums that say 10-10.5J. I have a R magic body kit which sits a little wider than the stock kit. ( actually a lot wider) I've been told I need an offset of +20 up to +50. I just want to do the body kit the justice and size the rear wheels right. I'd like for them to be flush or a bit wider than the kit.

With the latest trends as far as I see Borg Warner is being very popular. For your power goals e.g. check out BW EFR 8374 or 9180.
