New Owner of a 93 Rx-7

Wanted to introduce myself, as my son and I are new to the rotary world. It's actually his car, but I can't get him out of the garage long enough to get on the forums. We picked up a 93 RX-7 Touring addition in a dark gray metallic color. Car is in decent shape, but the previous owner thought he could make a drift car out of it. Thankfully, he ran out of money before ambition. Engine and transmission are laying on the floor in front of the car (engine is disassembled), so we will be having a shop go through and rebuild the motor while we see what else there is to do on the car. Our first project car was a Factory Five Cobra replica. Needless to say, building a 351 is a totally different animal than this one. At this point, we don't know what we are missing. Planning to purchase the electronic shop manuals to aid in determining that as we go along. If anyone knows of a VIN decoder, I'd love to get the exact specs on the car we have.

Welcome aboard. Shop manuals are on Banzai Racing’s web page under the tech section. Currently bringing my 93 touring back to life as well.

Good luck

Sounds like a blast! Great to see an FD being revived in a father-son project.
