OH New Owner 93 FD

Hi All,

It looks like all of us new members have to post here first so....I'm an older guy who just bought a '93 FD, stock turbos (non-sequential), different injectors, intercooler, etc. Been looking for an FD for awhile after long-term prodding from my brother-in-law who also has one. I'm not new to rotaries having bought a new RX7 back in '87. Immediate goal is to clean/refinish/replace some sticky interior panels and a different exhaust set up. Looking forward to learning from other members as well as hopefully contributing when/where I can. Anyway, thanks for having me! -OldDude

Welcome aboard. Those sticky/scratched up panels are a nightmare on the '93. Hard to refinish although there are threads about that.

You might do well by monitoring the Parts for Sale forum and see if any clean pieces show up. User tomsn16 often has threads there where he's selling clean '93 interior pieces and I see a couple threads by him in there right now.

Great find, I don't know if it's just the detailing or what, but that thing looks clean!

Thanks, yeah just bought a kick panel from him. Not looking forward to cleaning all the parts and trying to replicate the finish.

I'm in my late 50's. Been around cars entire life. That's the original paint although the car has several small dings. The Dent Wizard is stopping by tomorrow.

It's pretty clean but the interior, although nice overall, has lots of sticky and scratches so I'll be refinishing or replacing some panels. The really good news is there isn't the slight hint of any rust on the car.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome!
