New owner of a 10th AE FC

Hey all! I joined the forums many months ago with the intention of picking up a FD and learning more about it through the forums, but that deal fell through. However, a few weeks ago I got the chance to find this 10th AE and snapped it up in a heartbeat. This one is going to take a ton of work to get it back to its former glory since it has been sitting for many years but I'm willing to take the time and money to fix it up right!

Would also like to apologize that for that falling off side trim! Was waiting on the heat to make the trim tape to soften to take it off easily. Could have taken a better picture on the other side or when it was off but I was just too excited to start working on it and this is the best picture I have of it for now.

Anyway, always wanted to own an RX7 and now glad to join the community!

Welcome!!! Awesome 10AE to restore!! Do you know any of the car's history? Be sure to check out the 10AE registry that I created in the 2nd gen section. Add your vin to the list and check out a few pictures that are in the thread!!

Thanks, its going to be a fun rebuild! It was originally a CA car, and I believe I am the 4th owner. It has been driven a fair amount, roughly 150k over its life until it sat due to engine problems. Unfortunately, it has been repainted, and doesn't have any of the accessories like the floor mats and such, only thing left is the steering wheel and the original key.

Sounds like it has potential though. Often times the 10AE specific pieces are missing unfortunately. Although, you may have the floor mats however. The 10AE logo is only glued to the mat and will loose adhesion and fall off of the mat, leaving behind just the black mat. The 10AE Momo shift ****/boot combo does pop up from time to time but are extremely rare.

Congrats on the 10AE T2! I'm hoping to add one to my collection one day.. or an S5 T2, whichever. Haha. Can't wait to see how you restore your car, looking forward to it!
