I posted for the first time quite some time ago when I was first considering an RX7. Like many others, I was disillusioned enough to believe that I could find an FD in my price range. Luckily I came across two consecutive good deals and I have now found a place in my heart and my garage for an 88 vert, turbo conversion.

My boyfriend did most of the work (i knew nothing at all about mazdas when we started), but there were some tasks that are just kind of universally automotive that I could handle.

Still needs work, but I thought I'd come back now that I have a running vehicle! Didn't take too long, really, to get it all together from just a roller...

Here's the link to my photo gallery showing the process: 1988 RX7 Vert Turbo

I'm sorry, M...I guess I missed that line where you mentioned the pics. Thanks for looking! I'm really proud of the work 7Dust (my lovely boyfriend) and I got done. There are still little demons to exorcize and things to upgrade, but I absolutely love driving it. I guess it's also a good thing I enjoy working on them, given what every rotary owner has said!

It was much more difficult than i imagined but it's kind of a mutt, with parts from S4, S5, and J-Spec cars. Enough to make me pull out my hair. I'll tell you, though, it's been a learning experience! Good luck when you start your build and be sure to post a thread to tell us about it!
