new from new orleans
Hi, Im Richard all my friend call me duggie. Im 24 and from new orleans and finaly picked up my friends 86 rx7 non turbo for 200 bucks. I like to think i saved it from the scrap yard. It still cranks but has some minor problems like injectors leaking from the rail and needs a new hood, fender and and driver side flip up assembly. I guess i just got my self into a long term project haha. I hope to learn alot from here because this is my first rotary but have always been in love with them.

Its my best friends car so i know the history. It been sitting for about four years so i already know i have to drp and clean the tank and clean the fuel system.
I do eventually wanna build a another motor and have it boosted but i have to get this one running first.

You do not have to drop the tank to clean it.
There should be a 14mm drain bolt on the passenger underside of the gas tank to drain fuel.
Also there is a plate under the carpet in the hatch that you can access the fuel pump.,in the tank.
Remove the 8 screws and the sender/pump unit comes up to clean it,replace..done.
