hey all! The name is Tim and im a new fb owner. I just purchased an 84 GS for 500 and had the fuel tank cleaned out and new fuel pump installed. the chassis has 203,000 miles and the motor has been rebuilt recently. I have no knowledge at all when it comes to rotaries so any help is appreciated...... Now to the FAQ section

 

You have scored well, Tim. Better yet, you hit the three of the biggest problems with the older cars when you redid the fuel tank, the fuel pump and the engine itself.

With all the money you've saved, I'd say you need to hit up Sterling and get one of his Nikki carburetors. Rework the exhaust and you are golden, indeed.

You should have a ton of $$$ left for the suspension.

Im still having a few problems with the fuel...... I have replaced the fuel filter 3 times now and there is still a bit of debris in the tank and when i pulled the drain plug a bunch of stuff came out. and it was a bit milky looking. it has almost a half tank of gas, stp gas treatment, and seafoam in it.... anything else i could do?
