New MX-5 owner in LA
Hey yall. I live in LA, but am originally from Alabama. In March I bought a 2010 NC2 MX-5, with sport suspension and 6MT (comes with an lsd, forged pistons, conrods, and stiffer valvesprings. Since then, I've put on a Goodwin Racing RSII muffler.
Anyway, I'm a huge fan of the RX-8, which lent it's chassis to the MX. I also think the FD is one of the most beautiful cars ever. I remember being 12 in 1992, and lusting over the looks... And the Bose base tube lol.
Anyway, I did originally come here in hopes of one day finding FD wheels for sale, but I now think that perhaps I'll be a lurker. I really love the rotary engine, and would like to resurface in some form in the next RX-7 (there will likely be one).
Also, if anyone wants to do a Mazda meet, I go to Supercar Sunday in Woodland Hills a lot.
Thanks!
Owen

I forgot to mention - I get some work done over at TriPoint Engineering in Chatsworth. They had some awesome rotary cars over there last week, and the Playboy Cup winning MX-5 as well.

It's pretty awesome. There's usually a good presence of Mazdas, and even an early 70s Toyota once that was running an early RX (-2?) rotary racing engine. Not many RXs yet.
Supercar-wise, they have everything, usually on the big end of month Sunday meets. I've seen LFAs, a BMW M1, the new Viper, Jay Leno's Blastolene, etc.

Every Sunday, 6:30-9:30am... But the last Sunday of each month is the big one. What's great is that Mulholland is a mile away for group drives afterwards!
