I guess I'm another new guy here I've owned the car for awhile it's an 88 GXL in silver blue with blue interior. I set it on fire last winter. I got a whiff of fuel getting off the exit to head to a Dr appt and it caught fire right there in the Dr's office parking lot. the fuel dampener let go.
It already had a bit of a coolant seal problem, So now here I am trying to decide if I want to rebuild the rotary buy a built rotary or toss an LSx into the V8 thing has been done to death so I'm really considering buying another 13B if I can find one close and just swapping it.
The plan is to Autocross it and and my 11 year old found about cars last year so he wants to work on it and has already figured out how old he has to be to autocross it he already races karts.

theres a 2nd gen rx7 motor on ebay right now going for cheap!

 

Thanks for the heads up I'll have to take a look at that. I'd be alright with an engine swap.
