Hello All,
I am a new member to the RX7 club but not a new RX7 owner, I have owned a 1980 12A RX since I was 17 years old................. I am now 36! Unfortunatly my car has been in my garage untouched for 7 years, I am going to be working on it over the winter and will be asking alot of questions

Well, we've been here for a while and we're glad you finally found us, Mike !
Biggest concern on a car that has sat around that long is going to be the dowel pin o-ring...after that, it's going to be gas, the age of it, rather, and what it has been sitting in, corroding. There is info aplenty to review in these hallowed halls before you start the beast again and awaken it from its slumber.
Welcome aboard! It's always a good thing to see another 1stgen person join the boards!!

I am a little bit worried about starting it as well, I am going to change all fluids and drain the tank prior to starting it, I guess worse case if the motor is messed up I will re-build it or swap it out, the bad part is is that it was a factory new 12A from Mazda, I only have 3500 on the motor before I parked it
