New Member from Virginia

Hello all,

Just introducing myself , I am from Virginia . I am looking at buying an rx7 and have for about 2 years . I have just been forum surfing and researching during that period . Now I am financially stable to buy one "which im very excited about ". I have been looking at some FDS but they seem so over priced in my area at close to 20k . But then again im not even sure what these cars go for . There is an all original RED fd Touring in my area 43k miles 0 mods for 19k obo

The market determines the price (supply and demand and all that). If you think it's over priced, make an offer. Maybe it will get accepted.

Unmolested low mileage examples are getting scarce so the prices reflect that (supply and demand thing again). That said, if it's completely original, it may have a worn engine and rubber hoses. You'll need to factor that into the price.

Modified cars, you have no idea what the PO has done, whether it was modified correctly or not. Again, that should be factored into the price.

Not sure where in VA you live, but hit Fritz Flynn up for advice (or possible sale). He flips a lot of FDs.

And keep browsing. You will learn a lot and it's better to go in fully knowledgeable than uninformed.

Thanks for the advice , I will most likely be in touch with him , I plan to do a compression test on any car I consider buying . and if the owner isn't down there will be no sale . I am located in Richmond , I will try to get intouch with that fritz guy.
