Hi Folks -- Finally got around to snapping some pics of my 1987 RX7 GXL acquired in March of this year. I owned a 1988 RX7 convertible for 12 years. Traded it in on a 2010 Miata PRHT (power retractable hard top) which we will keep forever. I missed the RX7 and always said I would buy an RX7 coupe if I could find a good one in stock form. They seem hard to find most have been well used but I came across this 29,000 mile example and after some negotiation decided to take the plunge. It is not a show car by any means but an excellent driver. I've been tinkering with some details and changed out the alternator bracket to one of the heavy duty ones from Banzai Racing. I hope this will solve the problem of alternator belts breaking every so often as indicated by the car's service history. Other than that, I am looking at changing out the wheels I really don't care for the stock wheels on these but since the tires are new this year Bridgestones put on by the PO before I bought the car I will keep the stock 15" wheel size. As with my '88 convertible the stock radio was bad and has been neatly replaced with an Alpine unit that plays USB drives as well as CD's. The previous owner did a very nice job with the installation. I'm hoping to get help with questions on this site as time goes on.

Welcome in

You forgot to give a handle. Welcome from Laurel MD. She looks well cared for and 29,000 is unbelievable. I thought I did well finding my '86 base 3 yrs ago with 63,000 unmolested, one-owner miles. Staunton is my better half‘s favorite VA city, visit often. Bill
