Greetings all!

As a formal introduction, my name is Mike and I am from Sioux Falls, SD. I'm new to this forum as I just purchased an '86 RX-7 last weekend and I'd like to get to know a little more about it!

The car is bone stock as of now, but plans are to slowly build the suspension to my likings and maybe do some drifting with it once I develop some technique. I've already ordered a set of BC coilovers to get the ball rolling and I have a spare set of Rota P45's in my garage I will be throwing on once I do the 5 lug swap.

Which brings me here; I'll be shopping around for a complete five lug swap in the future. Right now, I'm doing a little bit of research to try and familiarize myself with it. If you guys can offer any tips or help point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Also, if anyone has a lead on a complete swap... feel free to message me.

Other future plans are pretty open. I'll build the car as I feel out the direction I want to go, I've just always been a firm believer in setting a nice suspension up so thats why I'm working that path first and foremost.

I also own an '04 Mazda RX-8, so this will be my second rotary-powered vehicle. My RX-8 has minimal mods as far as motor - just a nice suspension setup! It was featured in Gearbox Magazine a few months back along with my old S14. I can shop around for some picture links if there's interest. I'm hardly on my computer anymore as I spend much more time browsing from my phone and I'm pretty limited to what I can and cant post in that respect.

Look forward to interacting with all of you, sorry for the long introduction!

hello, nice to see a fellow mazda gear head around. i am from sioux falls sd i own a 87 rx7 fc turbo as my project car . as well as a 86 rx7 gxl (parting out) that would have the swap you 9need/want). i am parting it out bc the owner before me got in a couple accidents with it a got quots f\to fix it and was justr to much. like 13,000 ha ha no hope to here from congrats on the rx7. and welcome to the forum. also are you sure you dont have a gtu model? as those i belive are the only ones with 4 lug. another thing at the same time is going from single piston brakes up front to 4 piston brakes for more stoping power. and vented brakes out back. as well the gtu dost come with a locking differential out back they are open. and the turbo 2 diff dosnt work in a na housing just some info off the top of my head.
