Finally found and purchased an FD worth buying. I now have my dream car. I used to own a 95 Miata which was totalled some years ago. I have always dreamed of owning a true sports that came close to the fun of the Miata; the Rx7 FD is as close as it gets for me.
94 Base White 5spd , 57000 miles. New engine at 44K, and
99 spec turbos. Basic reliability upgrades, power fc, intercooler, downpipe...etc..
No I do NOT want to swap in a V8 and kill the spirit of the RX7. I'm sure there are those of you out there that are as passionate about the RX7 as I and will agree. I would have to blow up millions of rotary engines before a V8 goes in my car!
Glad to be a member here,
-Lee

I agree with you, keep it rotary man! Sadly I lost an fd friend today, he sold it cause he gave up. He never had it running LOL
Only reason I would go v8 is cause of the California bar smog crap...

I owned an fc years ago which I purchased from a buddy of mine for 100 bucks! It was sitting at his house and had an auto tranny with only 1st and 2nd gear, and horrible rusted out body with dents galore. The engine ran great and I beat up on it on a regular basis for fun while I drove the Miata daily.
I was sadly convinced to donate the ol, fc because my pops was tired of it sitting in his backyard while I was away at college without time to work on it. He didn't want to fool with "that damn rotary rice ball".
Luckily here in SC we don't worry too much about emissions
