Gday All,
My name is Jesse and Im from QLD, Australia. Ive been lurking for a while reading the forums and finally joined because Ive just bought a series 6 fd! Its my first rotor and its a bit tatty but has some goodies also and is in need of a bit of reassembly.
I bought it cheap non running and it had a carbon bonnet(hood for you yanks), coilovers, bride carbon seats, microtech ecu, v-mount intercooler and an ebay copy T04b turbo.
I also stopped by a scap metal man today and managed to score 3.5 metres of 4 inch stainless pipe for $45 which should do for a new exhaust I reckon.
On the topic of the turbo, Im looking to replace my ebay T04b with either a used Trust TD06 20g 16cm, usedGarret GT3540(xr6 falcon turbo), or used Trust T78 33D.
I think my engine has stock ports only, but other mods are the microtech, v-mount, and large exhaust. I will be upgrading the injectors either to 4x 850cc, or 2x850 + 2x1200.
Can anyone tell me if the trust T78 is a bad choice on stock ports? At what rpm would this turbo make full boost? 4000rpm? 4500rpm? Later?..
If too laggy i guess its TD06 or GT3540.
