New member from Ontario with 1980 RX7
Hello,
my name is Jutta. Its a female Scandinavian name. I purchased my RX7 new in 1980 and it now has about 80K on it. The only modification done was a competition exhaust from California added years ago. I selected its original Tornado Silver colour after viewing new RX7s that were delivered to the dealer.
I was attracted to rotary engines because my dad had a prewar NSU bike in Germany and I had learnt from him that Mazda acquired the Wankel technology from NSU. (BTW I helped dad rebuild the engine of a 1971 Renault 17 Gordini which was my first car). Dad is now not able to physically help me with restoring my car at his age so I hope to get the support and help I need here for restoring this 1980 RX7. It's been terribly neglected due my own neglect of my health.
My RX7 has been stored in a garage at my previous home in Toronto for about 10 years and another 5 years in an old rented garage when I moved to become employed again. I now have a nice garage at my new home and a beautiful winding road beside the lake in Muskoka to welcome it home once some necessary work is done.
Thanks for bearing with my ramble and wish you all well!
