Hi I'm Scott and i currently work as an Audi Tech. I've machined a few engines and own and heavily moded a Eclipse gsx. I bought my 93 fd back in 2009, Shortly after it developed leaking water seals I performed the "Coolant Seal Fix" it lasted about 8months until i got stuck in a traffic jam on a highway under-construction. ... Being a student at the time I couldnt get the rebuild done. Now i ready to get back to work. Being a tech how much of the rebuild would i be able to do myself and where can i find a good rebuilder in Pa, Nj or DE

It seems to me that if you're a tech, you should find it's a lot easier than you thought it would be...remember, one of the selling points of these engines back in the day was the "3 moving parts" claim by Mazda on TV. There's a lot of pointers to be found on this website, so read up and then dive in!

If you rebuild it yourself you increase your knowledge and experience in rotaries. Just do it right so it doesn't crap out on you in the future, but if you don't trust yourself enough to build it yourself, then off to the shop.
