Hi guys! I've lurked RX-7 club for a while and after picking up a not-so-percect FD yesterday I figured its time to join! Last night I drove 2 hours away with a trailer and $4000 in hand to buy a non-running FD RX-7. I ended up picking it up for $2000. The engine appears shot, and its missing a few pieces so I'm honestly thinking about dropping a 6.0L V8 into it because that's what I know. Unless of course I can get a glimpse of life out of the Rotary. Here's a video of my find and thoughts on everything. I'd love to hear about opinions and actions I should take on the FD. Absolutely, I'm Mack! I the first sign of life from her a few hours ago. I put a battery in it and all of the electrics work. However I still can't get the hatch open.
