New Member from the Netherlands!

Hi everyone,

My name is Don Hermans, I'm 27 years old and from Haarlem, a city in the Netherlands. I work as a safety engineer in the high and mighty business of cranes. I've been doing so for about 5 years now. In my spare time I work on my 1st Gen RX7, right now the project is going into it's third year. I joined this website in search of more knowledge mostly engine related, since the 12A of the 1st Gen is gone, and a 13B-T will be going in. You will probably see a post from me here popping up from time to time, with mostly questions about the 13B-T. I'm always open to suggestions, so please share them.

Hope to see everyone here a lot!

Don

Thanks Carid!

My project involves rebuilding my 1981 RX7 SA into a monte carlo replica. It has a few changes to the exterior when you would compare the two, but the biggest difference will be inside the engine bay. There's going to be a 13B-T in it, with hopefully putting out around 350 - 400 bhp at the wheels. To get there I'm still going back and forth between either bridgeporting it, or porting it to an aggressive streetport with raceported exhaust-port. For transmission I think I'm going to use a T2 tranny, and my rear-end is already converted to the GSL-SE limited slip diff. Suspension wise I'm going with the complete setup Techno Toy Tuning offers, and where required I'm using Energy Suspension bushings (I already have a set for the whole car, but the T3 kit also alters some of the geometry by using other suspension parts). The project is almost halfway now, the car has been painted a few months ago, as were the graphics put on, priority 1 now is to get the suspension done completely. After that the interior is next; 6-point rollcage welded through, 2 sparco seats, rear-seat delete, and some custom work to the dash. And last but not least comes the engine with it's upgrades. No, I don't own a moneytree in the backyard, so this project is not taking 2 or 3 months... in fact, I have been spending the last 3 years working on it, saving up etc. Any good advice to achieve a good 400 bhp is welcome, with the car being somewhat driveable on a sundayafternoon.
