Hi
I'm Clifton from Thomasville, NC. My first Mazda RX7 was a 1978 that I bought used and only kept 8 months. Bought a new 1981 RX7 GXL with leather and kept it until I bought a new 1987 Black RX7 Turbo that I still own. The Turbo has 31000 original miles and has been inside for the past 15+ years. In it's early years it stayed outside and was attacked by my now grown nephews with footballs and tricycles. For the past 8 or so years it has been driven less than 100 miles per year. I took it to my tire guy about a month ago and the tires have been on it since 1993 and they look brand new. He said they showed no sign of breakdown due to age, mostly due to the fact the car has been inside for so long. I still think I'm gonna put some new tires on it just to be safe. I decided about a month ago to have the whole car painted. The Toyota dealership body shop had done some work on my wife's BMW and also a 1996 Landcruiser that now looks brand new. I went by yesterday to see it and it looks like a brand new car. They still have to paint a tail light assembly that they had a hard time finding. Love getting in that car. I'm 52 and it brings back some great memories. Look forward to reading more on this forum.
