Hey all! I’m glad to have joined this forum, and I hope to be able to contribute and help sometime.
I picked up a 1987 Turbo 2 awhile ago, after sorting out a clean daily. I chased the car for two years, walking by it on my way to high school classes. It had been sitting for 14 years, in the open but covered, after it started lightly smoking. After dropping and cleaning the tank, (woahhhh, not okay) replacing a locked fuel pump and cycling out bad fuel it started, sweet!
So that is my project. It’s not too bad, and lacks any serious rust which is awesome. I’d really like to talk to someone who knows this generation about how the factory throttle, idle system, EGR stuff, etc work sometime.
If I ever annoy you guys, just tell me to shut up l, I won’t be hurt ^^
