OH New member, just found a 1988 60,000 mile survivor

Hello members, I found this forum because I just acquired an all-original, all-stock 1988 RX-7 GXL with 60,000 miles and I thought this would be a good place to connect and get opinions. This car has the original paint and everything appears to be working including the air conditioning. I expected much worse! I've noted a couple of faults- you can't rush the 1-2 shift and the sunroof doesn't like to open unless you help it up. Otherwise it seems to be top-notch. With a tiny bit or research, I noted that the 5-6 port actuators can be bad, but I'm able to move them by hand, does that mean they're ok? I'm sorta waiting for the other shoe to drop, because these cars have a bit of a dicey reputation for reliability. I'll try to post some photos if I can figure it out. John

Like the above post, welcome to the forum (although I'm new as well). Here on 7club, all necessary rotary information is available, and if not, can be asked and other members will promptly reply I'm delightfully surprised there are still low mileage 7s out there! Make sure it's actually 60k miles and not a clockback, just for assurance purposes. As for the actuators, if it seems to run fine then it should be okay for a while, but from my limited experience, I would suggest getting it inspected or post a thread about it. Better safe than sorry! XD
