OR new member intro

Robin from Eugene Or. First time owner of a gen 1 - rx7 (84') This one's very straight and clean. No dings or cracked glass ect... Completely stock - left in someone's garage for 10+ yrs. Worst of it is that much of the interior is dried out and degraded.

I work as a mechanic and fleet manager for a forestry contracting company that originated as a tree planting collective in the 70's. We do remote site forestry contracting (construction), wetland mitigation and also run several fighting crews along w/engine support.

The rx7 was 'affordable' and was intended to serve as a fun way to save on fuel costs, and keep me active just getting in and out of it. With any luck it'll remain a relatively cost effective purchase that I can enjoy getting to know and tinker with.

I look forward to reading the many thoughtful and interesting threads and discussions others have to say about this particular 'quirky' sports car.

Thanks!

Never have I been a 'member' of much of anything. Mostly 'joined' so as to glean how-to tips and try to figure out where to find basic parts etc...

Learning the jargon, I suppose 'vert' relates to convertible rather than some sort of vertical engine or body style. (Sorry, I am completely green w/this scene.)

Thanks for the reply

Happy motoring...

Nice car, and not so quirky, really. The most reliable car ever built, I think. Enjoy!
