New Member From Central North Carolina
Good afternoon,
My name is John. I've been a casual sports car fan since my first machine, a 1965 Mustang in the late Sixties.
After a string of Mustangs that included a 65 coupe, a 71 fastback and a 68 Shelby GT500, I moved to a 74 Datsun 240Z and then a 78 280Z.
In 1986 I picked up my first RX-7, a new, beautiful dark blue machine. What a difference compared to the 280Z!
I currently own a 1994 RX-7. I also bought it new and it currently has only 51,000 miles on it. Peacock blue with tan leather interior, it is a joy to drive.
I live about 40 miles south of the VIR track and hope to make it up there next week (4-1-11) to do a run around the track in the RX-7 to support a special event for charity. Should be great fun
.
I'm looking forward to being a member of the forum.
Regards, John
