New member, building a first gen
Hello everyone,
My name is Andrew...and I like shiney tools!
Long time reader, time to actually put something back into this forum. Thanks for letting me hang around!
Building a bridgeported 12a first gen to drift a bit. Was someone's aborted ITS project so it came with a bolt in autopower cage and illumina adjustable front shocks etc. Took the car basically down to the bare body, started from there. Motor porting is done, have to save up for balancing still. Plan to run a weber IDA setup.
I'll put up a build thread once I get a post count for it, but here are a few pictures of the progress so far.
Exhaust ports on rotor housings
Fuel cell surround and mounting I made (previous owner made a hack job out of some angle iron that wasn't going to fly)
Put some ZG flares on it, rattled canned it flat back and bought some wheels
Made a mount around the shifter for the hydraulic handbrake
And recently made a half dash for it, mockup with gages, not wired yet
So there you go. Let me know what you think.
Thanks

Shiny tools it is! Haha thanks styx.
I also noticed most introduction threads include the past car history, so heres a little list (in no particular order.)
Started with a hotrodded accord!!
Then got into the VW scene with a slammed mk3 and then a really clean 16V mk2 gti
Bought a 73 datsun 240z from a friend with no floors, lotsa rust etc. Replaced the front subframe area, working on floors and subframe connectors. Still have the car, plan to get it going again once I finish the rx7
Had two datsun roadsters that succumbed to rot
Had a handful of toyota 22re trucks, (early 4 runners, pickpups 2wd and 4x4)
Also drive a duramax sierra for towing all my non running hunks of junk around
