Hi Guys
My name is Alex. I just purchased a 1989 RX7 GTUs from a dealer who took it in on a trade from the original owner, a woman employee at Harvard University.
The car has 68k miles, and the interior is so clean, I'm so happy.
I have owned an 02 wrx, 87 corolla gts, two miatas, one of which had a begi 4.2 turbo kit on it, and have been following the import motorsports scene for the last 7 years.
I am originally from california, but am now in Boston, MA. After I tune the car up, I hope to take it to some local tracks here on the east coast.
Any suggestions on car clubs to go with??

Intro
Hello, my name is Mike. I am the proud owner of a new to me '94 FD with only 35,000 miles. A member from our Miata club bought an '09 Nissan Skyline GTR. He sold three of his cars to do it too. After some other offers to other fellow autocrossers he offered it to me. I couldn't afford it but I said yes. Took out my last loan and did it.

Well, I was never into fixing things as I am more of a geek. My father was a pilot, engineer, computer geek, and not a mechanic. But 14 years in the USAF as an F-16 Crewchief and you stop being scared of tools and breaking things. This lead to me tinkering with my Miatas.
Yeah, yeah, I am originally a Miata guy. Still am, but life is weird and now I am a Mazda guy. Did I mention I cannot afford this FD? The other two cars are paid for. The FD is the last one and I should be able to buy and do more things to it when it is paid off. There are only about 10+ FDs in Anchorage. Two of them have V8s. I would like to be the first with a 20b conversion as I do not like turbos anymore. I am also removing the turbo from my Miata and eventually putting a V8 in it as there is no Monster Miata in Alaska that I know of. The GTX, is on the back burner after the two sports cars even though that is my winter car and actually does more work than the two combined.
Bottom line is I work too much and don't have a chance to enjoy the Alaskan summers as much as I want and used to. I haven't autocrossed in over 2 years and FD parts aren't cheap. What I am doing though, is the FD is my summer daily driver and it is doing great since it is low mileage. Just like the Miata, I am gonna drive the **** out of it and enjoy it in stock form. Eventually, we all go around and miss that stock feeling.
So, what is the catch? My FD has a salvage "reconstruct" title, a young kid racked the right side door against a tree. My friend put 6K fixing it back and it looks fine to me. I love my FD. It is my "unicorn" and I still get the looks, the challenges, and all the good and bad that comes with it. I will fix her the way she deserves some day. With the forums help, a ton of money, and overnight parts from Japan all is possible!
That is basically it for now. Thanks again for letting me part of the forum. I got lots of work to do.
