well my name is mark and new to the rx7club community here. my first wasnt an rx7, but it was a 1990 mx6 2.2t.
i do things different that most others, the mazda i had was a great car, but the tranny went out and some of the car was falling apart on me, so i picked up a nice mazda b2200 truck and dropped the 2.2turbo in that and ran it for awhile, now that was a badass truck! after that truck was totaled i went to a 96 gmc 2500 5.7L, and just couldnt keep my self from tinkering on it, it was then upgraded to a 5.7L (350) from a 91 corvette LS1 TPI with comp cam roller rockers, mild cam, port polished and upgraded ecu, injectors, and intake manifold. was pushing close to 400hp to the rear on a n/a motor. after that, was an amazing car i had, a 1980 bmw 320i 2.0L e21 with only 120k miles on it with everything factory still working, must admit, that was one hell of a car with a 4sp 3.91 gears in the rear.
well now that that truck is gone, im going to be starting on my next project and i think its going to top them all! i've always been a high octane in the veins and hi-rpm pushing lunatic sometimes, and after being in an rx7 and seeing and feeling the performace of the motor i may convert over full time to rotary
well, my next project is going to be to find another good e21 bmw, and drop some rotary power in it, i was thinking of a single turbo 13b motor. i think it would be a beast! by far i think that even the older bimmers have great handleing and suspension, but i think it needs a nice rotary motor in it for a powerplant!
i'm looking at a finalized product of the car looking like the image posted with 325-375hp to the rear. i'm currently working on saving up money to get this project started. i've been doing my homework and researching and man, i dream about this car! haha
this is an image off google, it is almost exactly how i am going to style but diff rims and tires of course, and flat black!
anyways, hope all of you guys are having a great day!
oh yah! btw, im in cali right now, but moving back home to lousiana and that is where this project is going to take place, a daily driver car, but with the hardware to take it to the dirt backroads and street tracks. i think it'd be a perfect setup!
