Hello everyone! My name is Joey and I am from south Mississippi. I have a 1984 Mazda RX-7 that I bought from my cousin. The car was running when I bought it, but the engine definitely needed some work. At the time I did not have the money to put into fixing the car, and I am now slowly trying to get it running right again. I have hit a snag though, and I am hoping that someone can help me figure out what is going on. I have a new distributor cap, rotor button, plug & plug wires, and new igniters. I am getting fire to the cap but not to the spark plugs. Oh, I also have 2 brand new coils. I just can't figure out why I am not getting any fire. Someone please help!!!!

Joey, welcome aboard...now, I know you're "need" is urgent but try not to get ahead of yourself...this is the intro board, so take the tech question to the appropriate "New Member Tech" board and see what help you can get there. "Fire" to the cap and not to the plugs is def strange stuff.
