Hello, my name is Randy and Im from Michigan. I currently own a 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo that has a few goodies to crank up the hp and it is built to be a weekend racer. I recently stumbled upon a 1986 Mazda RX7 that was a good buy. It has 91,000 miles and is in good condition. It was $500 but the engine seems to lack power, so Im trying to find out what that would be. Its a nice looking car and I would like to make acceleration quite a bit better.

I don't own an FC so I can't comment on power output. Might want to read the 2nd gen FAQ to get up to speed.

 

i would get the compression checked..


but stock n/a only put out 140hp at most to the wheels.. if you get headers, exhaust and intake it will bump it up a bit..

but if anything do a turbo swap and call it a day..


stock s4 turbo motors put out about 180 hp
