Hi all. I'm a new member of the club, located in Toronto, and glad to find folks who also are interested in this great little car. My wife and I bought a 1989 RX-7 convertible (blue) from her father in 2005 when he could no longer drive. I'm not really a gear-head and don't claim to know a lot about the car but we do love to drive it every summer. We found a mechanic who has his own shop a few miles away and he has helped us service and maintain it since we bought it.
I'm not sure what generation the car is or what model, but would love to hear more from fellow owners.
Looking forward to the upcoming driving season.
Regards, John

Welcome to the club, and congratulations! It makes me feel good to hear ordinary people who love these cars and drive them like they're meant to be driven while maintaining them properly! You've come to the right place to learn about these wonderful little machines, as this forum has a wealth of knowledge and experience. If you need any assistance, just ask and we shall do our best to fecth some answers for you. More than likely, you won't be the first with such an question and one of our experienced members will have an answer for you right away! We'd love to see a couple pictures as well!! Your particular car is a 2nd Generation Series 5, very nice cars when properly maintained. One of these days I'd like to add one to my fleet, but they are getting harder and harder to come by...consider yourself and your wife fortunate!

Here are a couple of pics of my car. While we bought it from my father-in-law, he bought it from his son (my wife's brother) back in '95 or so, when he needed some cash and a bigger vehicle when he got married. So, it's been in the family since new.
