Hi everyone.
I used to have a an Elford Turbo and very much regret selling it. She was red with the red interior and a beutiful aftermarket light coloured wooden steering wheel. On the outside BBS split rims (gold and silver), the full body kit and a two tone custom paint job fading gold to red as it moved upwards. That was the issue that caused me to sell it in the end. I had someone run into the back of me and despite the fact they were fixed and back on the road within a matter of days it took the garage 2 whole months and many attempts to fix mine and get the paint job matched correctly. His insurance paid for everything, but coupled with the first sign of rust appearing at the top of the doors, I got spooked and sold it. Oh what a mistake I wish I still had it now. Unfortunately it dissappered from local roads (I live in the channel islands) so it was either written off or shipped off Island. If anyone knows what happend based upon that descrttpion please let me know. I have a black and white photo somewhere or it parked outside Harrods on a visit to the Uk and will try and post that if I can find it.
Anyway I'm semi retiring soon and would love to try and find another good example and I can rekindle the love! Im not looking for a total restoration project, but instead at least a daily driver I can work on and improve. Does anyone have any leads they might share?
Chris

Thanks for the welcome Skeese. The channel Islands are in the bay of Normandy just 13 miles off the French coast. Part of the British Isles but not part of the United Kingdom. More precisely I live in Jersey, homne of teh beautifaul cows, the original one, but not New Jersey.
Ill certainly take your advise and will look at Craig's list, and I am not oposed to sourcing a car in the US but only if it is RHD. I am though specifically looking for a first generation Elford Turbo model so its quite a specific seach.

Thanks WJM. Here by the way was my old car outside of Harrods in London. She was debadged front and rear with the both Mazda and Elford Turbo blown into the paintwork. I would love to know what happened to her.

Thanks WJM. she was indeed and a huge mistake on my part to sell her when I did. In colour she was amazing! Two tone red at teh top gold at the bottom and the two colours fading into each other as your eye travels upwards.
